Meet our users
I analyzed the competitors in the market and found that there are only a few dedicated volunteer apps. Here are some key pain points highlighting the usability issues in existing apps:
Shani 36-year-old
Tour guide
Thessaloniki, Greece
Shani visits her family in Israel three times a year, and during each visit, she looks for opportunities to volunteer and contribute to the community. However, due to the unpredictable nature of her visits, which span across multiple cities, Shani finds it challenging to plan and coordinate her volunteer work in advance. She often struggles to identify suitable opportunities in different locations, making it difficult to arrange volunteer activities that align with her schedule.
Daniel 22 -year-old
Computer Science Student At Hit
Holon, Israel
Daniel needs to complete volunteer hours for a scholarship. Due to his busy study schedule, he struggles to find time for volunteering and needs a way to track his hours and get proper certification. He is looking for flexible opportunities that fit into his limited free time.
Conclusions And Insights
1
Difficulty fitting activities into schedules and interests: Many participants reported challenges in finding volunteer opportunities that fit their schedules and personal interests.
2
Volunteer location preferences: Many participants preferred volunteer opportunities in their local area, making it easier to engage nearby.
3
Sharing and information about organizations: Many volunteers are interested in receiving comprehensive information about volunteering organizations.
4
Volunteered but stopped: While many participants had volunteered in the past, a significant number stopped volunteering over time.
The Solution
A user-friendly app designed to connect volunteers with relevant opportunities based on a personalized questionnaire, availability, and location, simplifying the volunteering process.

Wireframes- User flow
User Onboarding Process
Volunteers receive detailed information about the system before registration to reduce drop-off rates and boost motivation. There is a built-in registration process, but users can choose to skip it and enter as guests, completing the questionnaire after initial access. This ensures all users are well-informed and can easily become active participants.
